Depending on theduplex type, they can handle combined radial and axial loads in either one or two directions. The inner and outerring raceways are offset to each other, resulting in a shoulder on the inner raceway rings. Duplex angular contact bearings with largercontact angles are ideal for higher axial loads and lower radial loads. Certain duplex angular contact bearings aredesigned to withstand even larger angles.
